Although he writes, records, and performs under the professional name The Jeff London Project, the artist behind the music is Jeff Goffman, a singer/songwriter, pianist, guitarist, drummer and entertainer whose musical journey has been shaped by decades of performing, writing and living the stories that inspire his work.
Jeff’s music brings together the heartfelt storytelling of country music with influences from classic rock, pop, Americana and the singer-songwriter tradition. Whether performing for a live audience or recording an original composition, his goal remains the same: to create music that feels genuine, relatable and emotionally honest.
For Jeff, songwriting is about more than melody and rhyme. It is a way to preserve memories, explore life’s challenges, celebrate meaningful relationships and express emotions that many people experience but may struggle to put into words.
Music has remained a constant throughout Jeff’s life, even as his journey included building a successful professional career and raising two daughters as a single father. Those experiences gave him a deeper perspective on perseverance, love, responsibility, regret, gratitude, second chances and the passage of time.
Today, those themes form the emotional foundation of his original music.
Jeff often writes with his partner and lyricist, Debbie Levine. As the songwriting team Goffman / Levine, they draw inspiration from everyday conversations, personal experiences and the universal moments that connect people across generations and geographic boundaries.
Their creative partnership is built on a shared belief that the strongest songs do not merely tell a story, they allow listeners to recognize something from their own lives within it.
Jeff’s songwriting has earned recognition from several respected national and international music organizations.
In 2014, Jeff was named a Finalist in the Country category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his composition “Susan.” He returned as a finalist in 2021, when “I Miss America” was named a Country Finalist during Session II of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Receiving recognition from the competition in two different years reflects the enduring quality and consistency of Jeff’s songwriting.
Jeff has also received multiple nominations from the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, an international awards organization recognizing original music created for a wide range of visual media and independent music projects.
His songwriting has additionally advanced through the judging process of the UK Songwriting Contest, which recognizes qualifying entries through distinctions that include Commended, Semi-Finalist and Finalist honors.
Jeff has achieved significant success in Australia across multiple independent music and radio-tracking charts. Releasing music both under his own name and through The Jeff London Project, his work has connected with audiences across country, inspirational, alternative, and independent music formats.
Among his international chart accomplishments:
These achievements represent only a portion of Jeff’s catalog to receive international airplay and cross-genre chart recognition.
Jeff’s connection with the Australian country-music community reached another milestone when he was named International Artist of the Year at the Tasmanian Independent Country Music Awards.
After being announced as a nominee for the 2025 awards cycle alongside other independent performers, Jeff went on to receive the International Artist of the Year title. The honor reflected the growing international response to his music, including continued airplay and recognition across Australian radio and independent tracking networks.
Jeff and Debbie Levine also received recognition connected with the celebrated Tamworth Country Music Festival, held in the community widely regarded as Australia’s country-music capital.
Writing together as Goffman / Levine, the duo was named among the Top 30 Finalists for the Global Songwriter Awards. The recognition was presented as part of a Capital Country Music Association and Traditional Country Music Awards showcase at the historic Tamworth Town Hall.
For Jeff and Debbie, being recognized on an international stage in Tamworth represented an important milestone for their songwriting partnership and their growing catalog of original music.
Onstage, Jeff combines accomplished musicianship with a relaxed and natural connection to his audience. Performing on piano and vocals, he creates an experience that can be energetic and interactive one moment, then personal and reflective the next.
His live repertoire crosses generations and genres, encompassing classic favorites, popular sing-alongs, contemporary selections, and original music. Whether appearing as a solo performer, collaborating with another artist, or performing as part of a band, Jeff approaches each engagement with the same purpose: to make a genuine connection and give people an experience they will remember.
After relocating from Pennsylvania to South Florida, Jeff became part of the region’s active live-music community. He has performed at restaurants, resorts, private celebrations, charitable events and well-known entertainment venues throughout the area.
